You guys are so lucky you live so close.... I'd have to take like 3 to 4 flights to get all the way up there. I hope you guys make it there safe and on time.

Destatihxn:
For about $108 you can get a roundtrip train ticket(leave friday, back saturday) from Providence to Penn Station in NY, and the Highline Ballroom is only 0.8 miles from there. If you are worried about time, its a 3 hours train ride and the earlier you take the train, the cheaper it is (usually). Look it up on Amtrak.com, the station code for Providence is PVD and Penn Station is NYP.
EDIT: What time are people thinking about getting to the venues? I don't know that I want to try to get there earlier than a few hours before the doors open. But if a bunch of people are going to get there early, maybe I will, too and we'll party in line!

I wanna get there as early as possible. XDDD
I wanna get to the venue around 12 or so?
I also thought about the return trip. If the concert is around an hour long and the train ride is about 3 hours long, I won't be able to make it back to campus that night. I'd have to stay overnight in NY. I don't know how many trillions of dollars it would cost to do that. ><

me and my sis are planning to get to the venue at about 1 or 2 but Im still not sure cuz my sis has to go to work in the morning and she said she should be back home at about 11 or 12 then an hour ride on train ---> and then in NYC we can take a cab(but there always could be traffic) or just walk for about 15 or 30 minutes from Grand Central if my sis doesn't make us stop to get some food or somethin

Wow... I was thinking about getting to the venue around 4 or 5... I didn't really think it would be necessary to get there much earlier because the venue is pretty small, only 700 seat capacity... And I've heard that no matter where you stand you have a good view. Although I am pretty short, and so is my friend who I'm converting is coming with me. Maybe we should get there earlier to get a good spot...

Since it is a small show many will think that it wouldn't be necessary to come anytime before like 3 hours before the concert me and my sis just wanna hang out in NYC and she has a half day at her work anywayz so that's why we're going early oh and does anyone know if they have a balcony at Highline?? cuz my sis is short and after her experience at the NYC TH concert she said that NEVER in her life will she stay downsstairs during a concert

I'm not sure about a balcony, but I don't think we'll see anything like the moshpits at a TH concert at a CB concert. They just don't have very many "moshy" songs. Here's the Highline's reviews at Yelp.com: www.yelp.com/biz/highline-ballroom-new-yorkHopefully that gives people an idea of what to expect. Essentially they have a full service kitchen and a bar. Oh, and a bathroom attendent, lol!

I wish there was a magic train to get me from Bowling Green or Owensboro to NYC. Maybe I should learn apparition. But an apparition is a spirit. I wonder if you mean teleportation?

Apparation. Dang, I spelled it wrong.
The thing they do in Harry Potter.

I'd never even heard of that. not big on Harry Potter.
oh.. I figured out my trip cost. about $600 if I do airfare and hotel together.
Not too bad, right?
Once I get a job next month, I will conceivably be able to have about $1000 or so... but I will have to have that go for new clothes, food while I'm in California... concert merchandise.... and stuff from stores out there.
Does any know if there's any Asian areas there? like places that are like Japan or China, but aren't?
I also wish to get a laptop to bring with.

Oh yeah, there are asian areas in LA. Though I don't know if its anything specifically marked, like Chinatown in San Francisco. I'd google it to see where they are specifically.

ok so I was thinking if we could make a list of people who are going to the LA or the NYC concert....and it would be clear and we won't have to go throught this whole thread to find out that way we will be able to know who we can meet in the line
tell me what'cha think about that..

I think that's a good idea. I'm going to the NY concert. All I need is to find out where I'm staying. XD Is there anyone going to the NY concert who would want to split a room?
